Faster, stronger and friendlier
09.05.2001

The World Football Foundation is pleased to announce that it's site is now faster and more reliable than ever. This is due to a brand new webserver that it has purchased.

With this new webserver the World Football Foundation has made it even more desirable for small clubs to move their existing webs or to establish their web presence in a reliable and friendly environment. As we told you of last time the Croatian Eagles (USA) have set up their web at www.worldfootballclubs.org/croatianeagles , but more clubs are preparing to set up their websites at our server, either under the worldfootballclubs.org domain or their own.

The WFF does it best to make the setup friendly, and is developing tools which will eliminate mostly the need to create HTML documents and FTP them to the server, instead allowing maintenance to be done using a browser in a user-friendly manner.

Along with the webhosting we of course offer the clubs an e-mail account, where they can choose between simply having the e-mail forwarded to an existing address, or accessing it via POP accounts (using Eudora, Outlook or other programs of their own choice) and a web-browser (similar to Hotmail and other online mail services).

We may have neglected to mention that these services are free, so if you represent a club, feel free to contact Michael Raney at m.d.raney@worldfootball.org for more information.

In other news our database continues to grow and strengthen. Currently we have listed all 1900+ in Belgium, all 1200+ clubs in Switzerland, all 7 clubs in Liechtenstein, and all Icelandic clubs, and we are always working to strengthen the data available on other countries as well.

We are also developing more sections, which we will announce once they open.

In the footballing world we are now seeing either seasons ending or just beginning as the season is just beginning in Iceland, Norway, Russia, and the USA, for example. For those of you in countries in which the season is ending, we hope you have had an enjoyable season. For those of you in spring/autumn-league countries, we hope that you will have a great season this year.

Until next time, remember to pay close attention to www.worldfootball.org.

You never know what we will come up with next!
